Civic Oration 2016

Congratulations to Isaac Biera, Isaac Lamb, and Jake Underwood who placed first, second, and third, respectively, at our school speech contest. Isaac Biera will be representing our school at the diocesan speech contest on April 9 in Ness City.

The seven finalists that competed were Isaac Biera, Jake Underwood, Makenzie Lucas, Colin Kleysteuber, Emma Davis, Isaac Lamb, Samantha Sims, and Joel Bellows.

School Finals

  For the topic this year, the students had to write a 3-5 minute speech about a landmark.  This landmark could be found anywhere in the world.  In the finals, Kayla Nguyen, Elly Murrell, Ashleigh Chappel, Joel Bellows, Jenna Crook, Hannah Plummer, and Jessica Pamenter competed to be the representative at the diocesan contest. In the end, Ashleigh Chappel took first place and will represent St. Dominic Catholic School in Ellinwood on April 11. Kayla Nguyen and Elly Murrell took second and third place, respectively.
