Stewardship

The 2009 stewardship renewal has begun.
Renew your commitment of time talent and treasure! Renewal Form.

Questions come up when filling out our stewardship forms and you are encouraged to call the office or ask Father Schawe. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions with Father's responses.

What if I'm filling out my stewardship form and there's something I do (or would like to do), but it is not listed anywhere?

ANSWER: Write it in! Maybe you're good at calligraphy, or translating into Spanish, or baking cheesecakes. Offer it - who knows when the need might arise? Maybe you're already teaching a babptism class, doing recycling for our office, or some other unique job. Don't hesitate! Write it in.

What if I'm filling out my stewardship form and, other than my financial commitment, I only have one ministry to circle?

ANSWER: That's okay! My philosophy is that I would always rather have several people who do one or two things with all their heart than one person who tries to do everything.

What if I'm filling out my stewardship form and I'm not comfortable comitting a dollar amount to give back to the Parish? Can I leave it blank?

ANSWER: Your Parish appreciates your generosity, regardless of the circumstances. However, Consciously committing to a particular amount helps you to: 1. Give serious thought to your giving decisions; 2. Stretch beyond what is comfortable; 3. Be accountable for an aspect of your finances that can easily be compromised.

We encourage everyone to return their stewardship forms after prayerful consideration. Each parishioner is blessed with their own unique gifts and talents making St. Dominic Parish the wonderful Catholic Community that we all enjoy.
