Parish Life

Volunteer Opportunities

Multiple opportunities to share your talents are available at St. Dominic
Catholic Church.  If you are a new parishioner you will receive a welcome packet at the parish office when you register.  The packet will
include a booklet that outlines some of the many ways you can be  active in our parish.

You may also call the parish office and inquiry about opportunities that
are available to use your specific talents.

Stewardship

Summer is Here!

Stewardship is an everyday commitment to serve God by serving one another.  With the approach of summer and hopefully, more family time, we might seek ways to be stewards in new and exciting ways.

Some ideas for stewardship of time might be:

·          Volunteer at Emmaus House or Benincasa
·          Teens may want to be involved with St. Catherine’s Volunteen Program.
·          A nursing home visit to someone who has no family living in the area

Stewardship of Talent might include:
·          Sharing your creative gifts helping at Vacation Bible School with the arts and crafts or music
·          Our community has wonderful opportunities with many summer programs through the Library and the zoo that welcome volunteers.
·          If you love to cook Emmaus House welcomes donations to help feed the many that come to their door everyday.

Stewardship of Treasure Opportunities are always available.  Some suggestions are:
·          St. Dominic School Endowment Fund
·          St. Catherine’s Benincasa House
·          Salvation Army is collecting funds for their “Tools for Schools” Program which supplies backpacks for students in need each year.
·          With the new landscaping plans for St. Dominic Church and School we will be able to donate funds in memory or honor of loved ones or special events in our lives.

These are just some of the ways we might enliven our dedication to live lives of stewardship to our Lord.  Sharing opportunities to be good stewards with our families teaches our children, strengthens our faith and enables us to be the disciples we are called to be.
